Simon O’Neill is a Sydney-based creative,
a brand storyteller, meticulous visual guy,
and a somewhat capable pizza chef.
Bio
Born and raised in Sydney, Simon O’Neill is one of a few Northern Beaches natives who have escaped The Insular Peninsula. With a career spanning over two decades, his professional journey has led him from Sydney to Munich, to St. Pauli, before returning to Sydney.
He loves thinking of big ideas and is always a stickler for the details when bringing these ideas to life. His passion for craft is about as unstoppable as his sons on red cordial. Does it irritate him that he lacks control over the line breaks on this responsive website? Yep.
Other things Simon can do: He’s a whizz on the tools – a skill his wife abuses for her business constantly. He can draw a mean scamp. He lacks sweaty palms whilst presenting work, and won’t hesitate to use his fluency in exaggerated hand gestures and sound effects to get an idea over the line. He also enjoys mentoring and guiding young creatives as they navigate their way in this crazy business.
He has worked on a host of international and local brands including: Toyota, Ampol, Lexus, Football Federation Australia, BMW, MINI, The NRMA, Arnott’s, Audi, Volkswagen, St.George Bank, BankSA, RAMS, Westpac, Nestle, McDonald’s and Nike.
Outside of the creative department, you'll generally find him hunting birdies around lush green fairways, honing his craft of wood-fired pizza – glass of wine in hand, or cheering on his beloved Brentford FC alongside his three sons.
